Game-readiness of CSCore?

I've made substantial progress on a game engine for a small project using SharpDX. However, my knowledge on the audio side of things is particularly lacking and I can't seem to get XAudio2 working for more than basic 3D audio. I would like to see about implementing CSCore into my engine, as the feature set seems like a great match and anything is better than me fumbling my way through XAudio again. I'd just like to know how real-time friendly CSCore is before I go implementing it.
